[f/n] stuck her face to the freezing cold window that showcased the glorious outdoors. Her small lips curled into a frown. The outdoors certainly didn’t hold wonders that blistering winter morning. It was the 19th of December, and it hadn’t snowed once. Where’s mother nature’s Christmas spirit?! [f/n] sighed nonchalantly, her hot breath momentarily fogging up the window. It was blasted freezing, yet snow refused to fall!
[f/n] brushed away a stray piece of [h/c] hair that had fallen in her line of sight. The teenager groaned and sluggishly inched away from the window. She plopped down on the big white leather couch that furnished the living room. “I’m so bored… I wish there was snow I could play in…” She mumbled to no one in particular. No sooner had she said that, there was a knock at the door. “Mom! Get the doo-“ Force of habit. Mom and dad were away for Christmas. What a cruel thing to do; leaving their own daughter alone on what was supposed to be the happiest day of the year! [f/n] sighed. “Coming!” She called, rolling off of the comfortable couch. She rose to her feet and strolled towards the door. [f/n] unlocked the door and swung it open. A giant man with a childish smile decorating his face towered over her. [f/n]’s mouth hung open. “E-Er- How m-may I help y-you?” She stuttered. ‘God I’m sure I sound like a fool…’ She thought to herself bitterly. “This is the [l/n] residence, da?” The man’s voice was so painfully innocent. Somehow, [f/n] expected him to sound intimidating and scary, but it was in fact the exact opposite. “Er… yeah. Are you delivering something?” [f/n] asked cautiously. “No. Your mother and father sent me.” He answered, that sweet smile still adorning his lips. “Huh? But I’ve never seen you before in my life!” [f/n] protested, bewildered. “Da.” What kind of response was that?! [f/n] stared at the man like he was insane. “Uh… I think I’ll just…” [f/n]’s hand reached for the door. She planned on quickly slamming it shut and then locking it. The Russian man seemed to have other plans.
His hand darted for the door. His immense amount of strength was a force to be reckoned with. [f/n] couldn’t do a single thing. She trembled and quickly went limp in defeat. “W-What do you want?!” “I am here to keep you company. A baby sitter, da?” “Seriously?! I’m [age] years old! I don’t need a baby sitter!” The man’s smile never faltered. “I am Ivan. You will let me in, da?” [f/n] stared at him in ridiculously. “N-No!” She moved to slam the door shut, but yet again, Ivan prevented that. “Hey! Seriously, stop!” [f/n] growled. This time, Ivan forced himself into the home. [f/n] darted towards the exit in a panic. She felt a strong, cold hand grip her wrist tightly. [f/n] winced in pain. Ivan pulled her back into the house and trapped her in an embrace. Shivers shot up [f/n]’s spine. He was so cold! Why was he hugging her?! She didn’t even know this mysterious Russian. [f/n] was surprised when she realized that she wasn’t squirming frantically in his grip. Instead, she felt her eyes flutter shut.
